Alex Alexander commenced his career in investment banking in the 90s with Westpac Banking Corporation, Deutsche Bank and ABN AMRO. He then founded and managed Summit Capital, a boutique investment and financial advisory firm based in Sydney which focused on natural resources and commodities trading. He has played a leading role in a number of capital raisings and corporate transactions and was a chairman and a director in a number of listed companies.
Alex has been actively involved in diamond markets since 2012. He acquired and operated 3 diamond mines and numerous diamond concessions, establishing buying operations in a number of African countries. His affiliate companies include a diamond auction house in Antwerp and a high-end diamond jewellery brand in Hong Kong. He is currently CEO and a founder of Almas Resources which is based in Hong Kong and owns 4 diamond projects in South Africa.
Alex has recently set up a diamond investment fund which will allow investors to enjoy diamonds not only as a luxury item but as an investment asset class and he will share his experiences with setting up the fund.
